Simulation

The Enertile simulation platform simulates important players within the electricity sector as computational agents. Among these are agents representing consumers, utilities, renewable agents, grid operators, government agents and market operators. Some players like utilities are modeled using several computational agents representing different functions within the company like trading or generation. The current version of the simulation model incorporates a spot market for electricity markets for balancing power. An overview of the main agents involved in the simulation is given in the figure. In general the simulation platform can be categorized in four modules dealing with: markets, electricity demand, utilities and renewable electricity generation.
